Your Questions, Answered
We believe in transparency. Here are honest answers to the questions we hear most — no fine print, no runaround.
Cost depends on the size of your move (measured in cubic feet) and the distance. A studio or 1-bedroom move typically ranges from $1,800 to $3,500, while a 3-4 bedroom home ranges from $4,500 to $9,000+.
Your price is based on the space your belongings take up on the truck — that's it. No hidden fees, no surprise charges. Call (888) 683-3963 or fill out our form for a free, accurate quote.
No. The price we quote is the price you pay. We don't use lowball estimates to get your deposit and then hit you with a "revised estimate" on moving day. Your quote is based on the inventory you provide — as long as the inventory doesn't change significantly, your price stays locked.
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cashier's checks, money orders, and bank transfers. Payment terms are discussed during your quote and clearly outlined in your agreement — no surprise payment requirements on moving day.
Delivery time depends on distance. Here are typical timeframes:
Under 500 miles: 2-5 business days. 500-1,500 miles: 4-10 business days. Coast-to-coast: 7-14 business days.
Your coordinator gives you a specific delivery window before move day, and we keep you updated throughout transit.
Yes. Your coordinator keeps you updated on your shipment's status throughout transit. You can call or text your coordinator directly at any time — one call reaches a real person who knows your move, not a 1-800 number with a 45-minute hold.
Yes. Life happens — we understand. Contact your coordinator as soon as you know your plans have changed and we'll work with you to reschedule. Earlier notice gives us more flexibility with carrier availability.
Every move includes: loading and unloading by a professional crew, transportation in a real truck from one of our carrier networks, basic furniture disassembly and reassembly, furniture wrapping and protection, and basic released value coverage.
Packing services, custom crating, and full replacement value coverage are available as add-ons.
Yes. We offer full-service packing and unpacking through our carrier networks. This includes all packing materials, wrapping, boxing, labeling, custom crating for fragile items, and organized unpacking at your destination.
You can also choose partial packing — we pack the fragile and difficult items, and you handle the rest.
Yes. We handle military PCS (Permanent Change of Station) moves nationwide. We understand military timelines, the stress of service transfers, and the importance of getting your family settled quickly. Your coordinator manages every detail — from inventory to delivery — so you can focus on the transition.
Yes. We offer both short-term and long-term storage in secure, climate-controlled facilities. This is useful if your new home isn't ready yet or if you need to store items between moves. Flexible terms, no long-term lock-in required. Ask your coordinator about storage options during your quote.
All 50 states. We've completed over 55,000 moves and served 3,500+ cities across the country. Our strongest corridors include California to Texas, New York to Florida, California to Florida, and Texas to Florida — but we move families everywhere.
Every move includes basic released value protection at no additional cost, which covers your belongings at $0.60 per pound per item. We also offer full replacement value protection for complete peace of mind — if something is damaged, it gets repaired or replaced at full value.
Your coordinator will explain both options clearly and help you choose what's right for your move.
You call us. Not the carrier — us. Your coordinator is your single point of contact for any issue. If something is damaged, we handle the claims process. If there's a delay, we communicate proactively. We own it, we fix it, and we follow up.
That's the difference between a broker that cares and one that disappears.
A moving broker arranges transportation through licensed carrier companies rather than operating their own trucks. Yes, Top Tier Moving Group is a broker — and we're transparent about it.
The difference is who we work with: we contract with exactly 4 elite carrier networks (not hundreds of random carriers). Every carrier operates their own trucks and employs their own crews. You know who's moving your stuff before move day.
Three things:
1. Quality over quantity. We contract with only 4 elite carrier networks, not hundreds of random carriers. Every crew is vetted, every truck is inspected.
2. One point of contact. One dedicated coordinator handles your move from quote to delivery. You're never bounced between departments or explaining your situation to a new person.
3. Transparent pricing. The price we quote is the price you pay. No bait-and-switch, no revised estimates on moving day.
We understand plans change. If you need to cancel, contact your coordinator as soon as possible. Cancellations made well in advance of your move date are handled without hassle. Your coordinator will walk you through the specifics based on your situation and timeline.
